Civil Service Annuity: Have You Ever Heard of It?

In all the years that I have been writing and researching about finance, I have never heard about the civil service annuity. This was a new one. My curiosity has driven me to find out what this annuity is, and what its applications is. I want know, is this a plan for anyone, or was this a plan for those who preformed acts of civil service? Is this annuity planning a further act of civil service and if so, how did it function? Checking for the information about this new form of annuity has led me to some very interesting information regarding this annuity.

Let us start by breaking this product down into its parts. An annuity is an interest baring account that pays the client on a regular basis; that is you. The annuity will continue to pay a specific amount for the entire life of the customer. There is a fee for taking the money that was deposited out of the account. This fee works to protect the bank who is handling the annuity from losing all of the money of the account. After all, the bank has to make money too, and in an annuity, after the death of the individual, the bank would claim the annuity and receive the money. Now the other part of the civil service annuity to be explained.

Civil service is a position in which the civilian works for the government. This would be politicians, garbage men, the city workers, postal employees, police, firemen or city hall employees. These people had to take a civil service test to get their positions as well as be strong in their field. They are required to live in the same county in which they work. There is not much about the civil service that makes one think finance, although with wage freezes a possibility for the civil service employee, having such annuity would make sense. This civil service annuity would help to supply income for those whose income is frozen due to budget talks.
Programs can be helpful, such as audit tracking software. How much is the annuity death benefit?
